WALLACE -- The funeral for Daniel Horrell, 85, who died Tuesday, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Padgett Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rockfish Memorial Cemetery.
A Pender County native, Mr. Horrell resided at 4019 State Route 7, Burghill, Ohio. He was formerly of Goldsboro and Willard and was the son of the late Clinton and Virginia Smith Horrell.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Blanton Horrell of the home; two daughters, Danette Stone and her husband, Travis, of Burghill, Ohio, and Geraldine Dail and her husband, Allen, of Princeton; two sisters, Thelma Blanton of Rose Hill and Doris Futrell of Wallace; two brothers, LeRoy Horrell of Maple Hill and Hugh Horrell of Newport; two granddaughters, Amanda Stone of Burghill, Ohio, and Susan Crespo of Greenville, Pa.; one great-granddaughter, Eve Flowers of Burghill, Ohio, and one great-grandson, Jonathan Crespo of Greenville, Pa.
The family will receive friends tonight (Friday) from 7 until 9 at Padgett Funeral Home, 401 West Main Street, Wallace.
