MOUNT OLIVE -- Willie Bass Jr. 70, of 216 Flowers Road, died Monday.
The funeral will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at St. Delight Church. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Bass was the son of the late Willie Bass Sr. and Delia Troublefield.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Bass of Goldsboro; six daughters, Cheryl Joyner, Robbin Lofton, Sabrina Bass, Debra Bass and Jean Robinson of Mount Olive and Beverlee Brewington of McDonough, Ga.; two sons, Louie Bass and Charles Kornegay of Mount Olive; one sister, Doris Holden of Washington, D.C.; and one brother, Floyd Bass of Las Vegas, Nev.
The viewing will be from 2 until 7 p.m. on Thursday at Garris Funeral Home in Mount Olive, and the family will be there to receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m.
R.L. Sanders Funeral Home in Smithfield is serving the family.
