KINSTON -- The funeral for Archie Roland Gray, 80, will beheld tonight at 7 in the chapel of Howard-Carter Funeral Home. Burial will be on Wednesday at 11 am. at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Gray died Monday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
He was the son of the late Richard and Eula Barnes Gray. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he owned and operated Archie's Produce and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice "Lib" Taylor Gray of the home; one daughter, Joan Gray Taylor of LaGrange; one son, Clifton Dwight Gray of Gloucester, Va.; two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild; three sisters, Julia G. Lewis of Grifton, Rena Belle Burns and Hazel Lang Eubanks of Kinston; brother, Paul Gray of Vanceboro
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service tonight.
