JAMES M. CARRERE
Died Feb. 2, 2006
James Maynard Carrere, 81, of 1612 Woodland Road, Garner, died Thursday.
Mr. Carrere was a native of Charleston, S.C., and was the son of the late Augustus F. and Stella C. Carrere. He was a retired postal employee and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
A Requiem Mass was celebrated Saturday at 2 p.m. at Old St. Mary's Catholic Church in Goldsboro. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Carrere is survived by his wife of 55 years, Charlotte Reasons Carrere; daughters, Michelle C. Riggleman of Harrisonburg, Va., Pamela C. Webb of New Bern, Stephanie C. Eaddy of Cary and Carla C. Niemann of Garner; one son, Matthew G. Carrere of Pikeville; sister, Mary Elizabeth Hogan of Sun Lake City, Ariz.; one brother, Thomas A. Carrere of Carollton, Ga.; and 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Calvin Drew Carrere, and a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Surprenant.
The family received friends on Friday night from 7 until 9 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner, and other times at Stephanie Eaddy's residence at 102 Prince Albert Lane in Cary.
A Rosary Service was be held Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home.
