CHARLIE DELUCA
WILMINGTON -- Charlie DeLuca, 61, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 3, 2006.
He was born in Wayne County on October 13, 1944. Remembered is his father Milton C. DeLuca, who preceded him in death.
Charlie was retired from New Hanover County Sheriff Department Vice and Narcotics Unit. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force stationed in Germany. Charlie enjoyed life to the fullest and no one will ever know the lives he has touched and influenced over the years.
He is survived by his wife, Jodi Dunn DeLuca; two daughters, Paige Collins, and Nicole Segura; four grandchildren, Brittany, Colin, Kennedy, and Ansley; his mother, Louise DeLuca; two sisters, Linda Taylor (Sam), and Karen Archer (Jerry) and one brother, Steven DeLuca (Tammy).
There will be a time of visitation for family and friends today from 5 until 8 p.m. at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, 4108 S. College Road, Wilmington.
Friends and family in the Goldsboro area may visit at the home of Charlie's sister, Linda, 595 Taylor Road, Faison.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wayne Memorial Park, Goldsboro. Funeral Honor guard will be provided by the New Hanover County Sheriff's Dept. and the U.S. Air Force.
Memorial gifts may be made to New Hanover County Sheriff's Office Employee Relief Fund, 3950 Juvenile Road, Castle Hayne, N.C., 28429.
Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
