PIKEVILLE -- The funeral for Mae Edmundson Franklin, 121 Falcon Drive, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Morning Star Holy Church of Fremont with the Rev. Howard Artis officiating. Burial will be in Turner Swamp Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Ben Franklin Jr. of the home; two sons, Benjamin Leo Franklin of Goldsboro and Cornelius Edmundson of Pikeville; two daughters, Kim Franklin and Demetrice Edmundson of Goldsboro; five brothers, MacArthur Edmundson of Fayetteville, Ronnie Edmundson of Pikeville, Haywood Edmundson of Fremont and Larry Edmundson and Bobby Edmundson of New Jersey; two sisters, Annie Cox of Fremont and Carolyn Ingram of Pikeville; and five grandchildren.
A viewing will be held today from 2 to 6 at McIntyre Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and relatives today from 5 to 6 at the funeral home. At other times they will be at the residence.
