Patricia Heeden Sutton, 69, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Tom Norris, O.S.F.S., presiding. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
Mrs. Sutton was a Wayne County native and was the daughter of the late William Mitchell Heeden Sr. and Essie Joseph Heeden.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Sutton; one son, Eddie Sutton Jr., and his wife, April, of Goldsboro; one daughter, Mary Sutton Nichols, and her husband, Gene, of Goldsboro; and her grandson, Ralph Edward "Trey" Sutton III. She is also survived by her special sister-in-law, Sharon Barbour Heeden and her children, Michelle H. King and husband Wayne of Fuquay-Varina, William Heeden III of Durham, John Heeden and wife Kim of Goldsboro, and Michael Heeden and wife Heather of Durham.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. William Heeden Jr., and a sister, Mary Bea Heeden.
A wake service will be held tonight at 7 at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, with visitation immediately afterward.
Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
