HOOKERTON -- The funeral for Charlie Franklin Ormond, 85, will be held by the graveside on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Ormond Family Cemetery. The Rev. Tom Miller will conduct the service.
Mr. Ormond died Monday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Davis Ormond of the home; one daughter, Nancy Ormond Jernigan of Snow Hill; three sons, Charlie "Bud" Ormond and A.C. Ormond of Hookerton and Doug Ormond of Snow Hill; one sister, Mary Dean Beaman of Snow Hill; one brother, Thomas Ormond of Kinston; and eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service in Snow Hill, and other times at the residence
