ARAPAHOE -- A memorial service for Pamela Mumford Edwards, sister of Norma Schipper of Goldsboro, will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Arapahoe Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. Tommy Bulla will conduct the service.
Mrs. Edwards died Monday at Craven Regional Medical Center. She was a resident of Minnesott Beach and was the daughter of the late James E. and Mary Burton Mumford.
In addition to her sister, Mrs. Edwards is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Edwards; one daughter, Mary Long of Dacula, Ga.; two stepdaughters, Debbie Person of Gainesville, Ga., and Virginia Watson of Gastonia; and seven granddaughters and a great-grandson.
The family will receive friends at the church during the hour prior to the memorial service.
Flowers are welcome, or donations may be made to the Masonic Home for Children, Oxford, N.C.; or to a favorite charity.
Bryant Funeral Home in Alliance is serving the family.
