WILLIAM G. PRICE

William Groom "Billy" Price, 69, of Scott Street, died early today at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of the Pricetown community of Wayne County and was the son of the late Alton B. and Mary Lillian Goodson Price and husband of the late Jean Richardson Price. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and retired from the U. S. Air Force with the rank of master sergeant. He had been employed at the Seymour Johnson Base Commissary after his military career.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive with the Rev. Anne Smims officiating. Interment, with military honors, will be in Pineview Cemetery.
Mr. Price is survived by a daughter, Lori Price Cobb, and husband, Jerry, of Texarkana, Texas; a son, William G. Price Jr., and wife, Kelly, of Pikeville; two grandchildren, Brittni Nicole Price and Ryan Smith; a sister, Trudy Price Shivar and husband, Larry, of the Pricetown community of Seven Springs; two nephews, Chad Shivar, and wife, Christy, of the Pricetown community, and Eric Shivar and wife, Meredith, of Goldsboro.
Visitation will be at Tyndall Funeral Home from 7 until 9 on Thursday night. At other times, friends and family may gather at the home of Trudy and Larry Shivar, 343 Billy Price Road, Seven Springs, in the Pricetown community.
