BEULAVILLE -- Edward Jerrell Thigpen, 69, died Friday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Community Funeral Home in Beulaville. Burial will be in Burl Edwards Cemetery.
Mr. Thigpen is survived by his wife, Reba Whaley Thigpen of Beulaville; one daughter Rita Thigpen Nichols of Cove City; one son, Randy E. Thigpen of Pink Hill; his mother, Dessie Thigpen of Beulaville; three sisters, Vernell Basden, Evelyn Basden and Shirley Murphy of Beulaville; one brother, W.D. Thigpen of Beulaville; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Community Funeral Home of Beulaville.
