KINSTON -- Willie C. Battle, 96, of 912 Highland Ave. Apt. 1-C, died Saturday at her home.
The funeral will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at St. Peters Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, with Pastor Tyrone Haney officiating. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Battle is survived by one daughter Priscella B. Whitehurst of Williamston; one son, Ivory Battle Jr. of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sisters, Deborah Grady of Kinston and Connie Carraway of La Grange; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 5 until 7 p.m. at Loftin Funeral Home and at the church on Friday one hour prior to the funeral.
