FAISON -- Marian Kalmar Jeski, 70, died unexpectedly on Sunday at her home.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Community Funeral Home of Warsaw. The Rev. Clayton Sutton will officiate. Burial will be in the Jeski Family Cemetery.
A native of Wayne County, Mrs. Jeski was the daughter of the late William and Charity Parker Kalmar and the widow of Joseph Edmund Jeski. She retired from the military as a staff sergeant with 22 years of service, having served in the Navy, the Army, the Army Reserves and the North Carolina National Guard. She was a member of the American Legion and served as a volunteer with the Girl Scouts of America.
She is survived by two sons, Patrick Jeski of Pinckney, Mich., and Mike Jeski of Faison; and one sister, Katherine Kalmar of Tampa, Fla.
