HOOKERTON -- William David "Bill" Marlow Jr., 59, of 5551 Hugo Church Road, died Saturday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service was held today at 10 a.m. at Sharon United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Clint White and the Rev. Tony Bossolono officiating.
Mr. Marlow was born in Edgecombe County to the late William David Marlow Sr. and Doris Mae Mills Marlow. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Old Wilson Road Church Of God.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Allio Marlow; eight children, Adrianna Marie Marlow of the home, Penny Finch of Elm City, Loretta Earp of Rocky Mount, Tammy Garcia of Myrtle Beach, William David Marlow III of Morehead City, Jasper Ray Marlow of Beaufort, S.C., David Warbritton of Morehead City and Jailin Richardson of the home; one sister, Bonnie Johnson of Pinetops; seven brothers, Jimmy Marlow, Robert Marlow, Richard Marlow and Jerry Marlow of Rocky Mount, Johnnie Marlow of Pinetops, Calvin Michael Marlow of Greenville and Roy Marlow of Battleboro; and 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family is being served by Rouse Funeral Home in LaGrange.
