Robert Virginia "Bobbie" Hooks Fulghum, 95, of 114 Edmundson Springs Road, Fremont, died Sunday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1608 E. Pine St., Goldsboro. The Rev. David Harvin and Elder John H. Hess will officiate. Burial will be in Fremont Cemetery.
Mrs. Fulghum was the daughter of the late Robert Lee "Bob" Hooks and Virginia "Jennie" Wiggs Hooks. She was the youngest of nine children, all of whom are deceased. She was the widow of Ewell Bristol Fulghum of Fremont.
Her survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Marie Fulghum Benton and Richard Benton, with whom she resided for the past year; three grandchildren, Beverly Benton Vinson and husband Ernie Vinson of Goldsboro, Michael Benton and wife Pamela Jackson Benton of Goldsboro and Xan Benton Knopick and husband Scott Knopick of Fremont; five great-grandchildren, Brittany Leigh Vinson and Brandon Taylor Vinson of Goldsboro, Layne Michael Knopick, Skylar Ashlyn Knopick and Braeden Scott Knopick of Fremont; two special nephews and their wives, Robert and Brenda Hooks of Pikeville and Chippie and Betsy Smith of Fremont.
She leaves many friends with loving memories of her in their hearts.
The family will receive friends today from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. At other times friends may visit at the home of Richard and Marie Benton, 3200 Summit Road, Goldsboro.
Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to the Kitty Askins Hospice Center Building Fund, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, North Carolina, 27534.
