Died Oct. 31, 2005
The funeral for James Elbert Rowe will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Parkstown. Elder Zephaniah Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Old Mill Cemetery.
Mr. Rowe is survived by his wife, Wanda Rowe of Washington, D.C.; one daughter, Lisa Rowe of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Charles Lanier of LaGrange and Leander Lanier of Virginia; four sisters, Gwendolyn Putney of Texas, Janice Sumlin of Goldsboro, Carolyn Lanier and Carrie Garrett of Fuquay-Varina; and three grandchildren.
A walk-in visitation will be held today from 2 until 8 p.m. at LaGrange Mortuary.
The wake will be held at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
