LARRY ROSS

Larry Robert Ross, 60, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, October 29, 2005, at his home in Newport surrounded by his family.
Larry was born in Bell, Calif., to the late Claud Ross and Marjorie Trammell Ross. He had retired from NADEP at Cherry Point. Larry served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Conflict.
To have known Larry was to love Larry. He was a man of incredible faith in God, hope for the world, and love for others. For those who knew him, Larry will be remembered as a generous, caring, compassionate man and a loyal friend to so many. He was also known for his charm, quick wit, and his smile. The love in Larry's life was God, family and friends. Even during his battle with cancer, he never gave up or let go of his firm belief in the power of prayer. Larry's determination to let it be God's will was an inspiration to all who knew him. He will be missed by many. Larry was a devoted member of Glad Tidings Pentecostal Holiness Church in Morehead City. Along with a tireless commitment to help children, Larry has always reached out to children and loved to help them in any way.
A celebration of Larry's life will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Glad Tidings Pentecostal Holiness Church in Morehead City with Pastor Maurice Phelps and Mike Pollard officiating. Interment will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with full military honors.
Larry has been devoted for 28 years to his wife, Debbie Forehand Ross. He also leaves to cherish his memory his two daughters, Amy Brousard of Wilmington, and Emily Lanier and husband, Rodney, of Dunn; his brothers, Clyde Ross and wife, Willie Sue, of Hermitage, Ak., and Ron Heird and wife, Betty of Monks Corner, S.C.; his four grandchildren, Brandon Kearney, Erin Brousard, Shannon Brousard and Jackson Lanier; his mother-in-law, Almeta Forehand of Goldsboro; his foster mother, Roberta Miller of Sheridan, Ak.; and his adopted daughter, Pattie Rademaker of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday, October 31, 2005, from 7 until 9 p.m. at Glad Tidings Pentecostal Holiness Church in Morehead City, and other times at his residence.
