Katie Head Turnage, 81, of 2021 Pecan Lane, died Thursday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A graveside service will be held today at 3 p.m. at Pinewood Memorial Park in Greenville.
Mrs. Turnage was born in Greene County to the late Ben Head and Maggie Taylor Head.
She is survived by two sisters, Sallie Hall of Fremont and Estelle Balance of Goldsboro.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Turnage was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Turnage.
The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.
