DOUGLAS HARRELL

Douglas Alan Harrell, 21, of 147 Hood Drive, died Thursday evening from injuries received in a traffic accident.
Born in Wayne County, he was the son of Jim and Beverly Hill Harrell of the home. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Preston Hill. He was employed with Jim Harrell Construction and was a member of Brogden United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Reverends Dr. Jerry Jackson and Richard Sharp will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Scott Harrell of the home; one sister, Lauren Harrell of Greenville; his maternal grandmother, JoAnne Hill of Dudley; his paternal grandparents, Ellis and Janet Harrell of Goldsboro and Marlene and Calvin Edwards of Goldsboro.
The family received friends on Saturday evening at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
