The funeral for retired Sgt. Michael T. Greene, of Columbia, S.C., formerly of Goldsboro, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Joe Jackson will officiate. Interment, with full military honors, will be in Old Mill Cemetery.
Mr. Greene is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Greene of the home; four brothers, Norwood E. Bell, William C. Bell, the Rev. Harold O. Warren and Dr. Benjamin D. Johnson of Goldsboro; and one sister, Valorie L. Kornegay of Goldsboro.
The viewing hours will be from 2 until 8 today at Lightner Memorial Funeral Home and the family will be present from 7 until 8 p.m. At other times the family will receive fiends at 3505 Central Heights Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church Disaster Fund, 1065 Tommy's Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
