The funeral for Timmie "Boobie" Smith, 47, of 416-A Lime St., will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of McIntyre Funeral Home. Apostle D.L. McIntyre will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Smith is survived by one daughter, Lashonda Applewhite of Goldsboro; one son, Timothy Smith of West Virginia; his mother, Mary Smith Bean of Goldsboro; his stepfather, Willie James Bean of Goldsboro; his stepmother, Lola Smith of Goldsboro; one brother, Junior Lee Smith; five sisters, Virginia S. Griffin, Frances Best, Mary A. Smith and Clara Smith of Goldsboro and Joyce Woodard of Orange, N.J.; three stepsisters, Debra Spain of Dudley and Annie Smith and Cora Smith of Goldsboro; four stepbrothers, Bobby Spain of High Point and John Smith, James Smith and Danny Smith of Goldsboro; and one grandchild.
The family will assemble at Mary Smith Bean's residence, 512 E. Mulberry St., on Friday morning to prepare for the funeral procession.
The viewing hours will be from 2 until 7 today at McIntyre Funeral Home.
