MOUNT OLIVE -- Pattie Belle Faulk Carter, 83, long-time resident of the Beautancus community near Mount Olive, died Wednesday morning at Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville.
The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday at Tyndall Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Beth F. Glover and the Rev. Clark Barfield officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday in Maplewood Cemetery.
Mrs. Carter was the daughter of the late Ernest H. and Mabel Grady Faulk and was the widow of Jarvis Carter. She was a member of Rones Chapel United Methodist Church and retired as a supervisor with R.G. Barry Co. in Goldsboro.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara C. Glover of Williamsburg, Va.; three sons, Reginald Carter and wife, Marilyn, Michael Carter and wife, Wanda, and Mark Carter and wife, Randy, all of Mount Olive; six grandchildren, Nita Boney, Mary Calcutt, Beth F. Glover, Tammy Benfield, Jennifer Lewis, and Cameron Carter; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will remain at the funeral home to receive friends following the funeral on Friday night.
Memorial donations may be directed to Pattie Carter Memorial Fund at Rones Chapel Methodist Church, 138 Garner Chapel Church Road, Mount Olive, N.C.
