NEWTON GROVE -- The funeral for Latania Louise Thompson, 29, of 135 Avon Lane, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Mount Olive. The Rev. Leroy Batts will officiate. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Park.
Miss Thompson died Sunday at Sampson Regional Medical Center.
She was the daughter of Barbara Kelly and the late Frank J. Kelly and was employed as a certified nursing assistant at Better Way of Living.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by three brothers, Anthony Thompson of Roseboro, Calvin Fudge of Bronx, N.Y., and Jeffery Aycock of Faison; and three sisters, Cheryl Willams of Newton Grove, Vanessa Smith of Goldsboro and Shelia Morrisey of Seven Springs.
The viewing will be from 3 until 6 p.m. today at Garris Funeral Home in Mount Olive.
