KINSTON -- Blanche Smith Artis, 74, of 311 Frances Place, died Wednesday.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church on N.C. 13, Goldsboro. The Rev. Larry M. Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Hooks Grove Church Cemetery, Pikeville.
Mrs. Artis is survived by her husband, Mr. Jesse Artis; two sons, Gerald Artis of Columbia, Md., and Anthony Artis of Winchester, Va.; three daughters, Deogratias Artis Banks of Apex, Angelia Artis Miles of Asheboro and Ava Artis of Agoura Hills, Calif.; two sisters, Theressa S. Waters and Elna M. Waters of Raleigh; brother, Vincent D. Smith Sr. of Pikeville; and eight grandchildren
The viewing hours will be from 4 until 8 today at Mills Funeral Home and the family will be present from 7 until 8 p.m.
The family will assemble at 311 Frances Place, Kinston, one hour prior to service.
