Leonard Anthony Raab Sr., 93, of 501 Sandhill Drive, died Thursday, June 30, 2005, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pittsburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Fred and Rose Bickert Raab. He graduated from Duquesne University in 1934 with a bachelor's degree in economics and was formerly employed with Kaufmann's Department Store in the statistics. He was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Goldsboro. He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Marcell Raab, and his twin brother, Fred Raab.
A memorial mass will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2005, at 7 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Goldsboro with Father Tom Norris, O.S.B., officiating.
Mr. Raab is survived by his children, Leonard Raab Jr. and wife Joyce of Albuquerque, N.M., and David Raab and wife Sue of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Patricia Marguglio and husband John of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Christine Margugilo, John Margugilo, Beth Grifasi and her husband Jim, Holly Raab, Mother Thasia Raab of Our Lady of Kazan, Marc Raab and Brian Raab; he also is great-grandfather to Smatha Pascarella, Karilyn Margugilo, Sara Cliifford and Christopher Grifasi.
Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and Crematory of Goldsboro is serving the family.
