JOHNNIE R. TYNDALL
Johnnie Roger Tyndall, 73, of 903 Royall Avenue, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory. Pastor Shirley Pigford will officiate. Burial will be in Snow Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Tyndall was born in Greene County on June 29, 1931 and was the son of the late Johnnie Tyndall and Cornelia Frazier and the late Irma Dell, who was his stepmother. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion and was retired from General Electric of Goldsboro with 30 years of service as a machinist.
He is survived by one son, Roger DeWayne Tyndall of the home; a special friend and the mother of Roger, Judy Ann Davis of Goldsboro; one sister, Eartha McMullen of Richmond, Va.; one sister-in-law, Jane Farror; a special nephew, Jackie Tyndall; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The viewing will be held today from 4 until 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will be there to receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m., and other times will be at the residence.
