CONNIE MASSEY
CARY -- Connie Seymour Massey, 60, of 112 Silvercliff Trail, formerly of Goldsboro, died Sunday, June 5, at Western Wake Hospital.
She was born in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of the late Howard and Hazel Sasser Seymour. Her late grandparents were John Seymour of Arkansas, Tempie Seymour of California, Albert and Viola Hood Sasser and Minnie Sasser Overton of Goldsboro. Mrs. Massey was a member of the Evening Stars Red Hat Society of Cary.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas "Tommy" O. Massey; son, Jeff Etheridge of Morrisville; mother- and father-in-law, Shirley and Bobby Massey of Pilot; sisters, Kay Murray of Fremont, Janice Seymour of Kiawah Island, S.C.; brother, Billy Seymour of Asheville; nieces, Cindy and Emily Seymour of Greensboro and Susan Murray of Fremont; nephews, Trent Carter of Rhode Island, Donovan Murray of Fremont and David Seymour of Washington, D.C.; and three great-nephews and one great-niece.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, June 8, at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Wendell. The Rev. Kevin Byers officiated. Private inurnment was in the Massey-Poole Cemetery in Pilot.
