NELLIA SIMMONS
TEACHEY -- Nellia Faye Brown Usher Simmons, 67, died Monday.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church in Rose Hill. The Rev. Richard Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Park near Watha.
Mrs. Simmons was the daughter of the late Lawton E. Brown Sr. and Ruth Kissner Brown and the widow of Ray Simmons.
She is survived by one son, Ronnie Usher of Teachey; three daughters, Becky Jernigan, Denise Harrell and Cindy Harrell of Teachey; one brother, L.E. Brown Jr. of Magnolia; three sisters, Emma Usher of Rose Hill, Hilda Fowler of Zebulon and Patsy Olive of New Hill; and 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Susan Brown Stroud, and one great-granddaughter, Andrea Piner.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Community Funeral Home in Rose Hill, and other times at the residence at 289 Providence Church Road, Teachey.
