SUSAN THIBAUDEAU
SNOW HILL -- Susan C. Rouse Thibaudeau, 85, died Saturday.
Born in Lenoir County, she was the daughter of the late Preston and Effie Carter Rouse and a widow of William H. Jones, James A. Taylor and Joseph E. Thibaudeau.
Mrs. Thibaudeau was a member of the First Baptist Church in Walstonburg, and the Shirley Hill American Legion Post in Snow Hill.
She is survived by two sons, William C. and wife, Linda Jones of Elizabethtown, Stephen R. and wife, Rachel Taylor of Riegelwood; four daughters, Virginia Jones and husband, James Sanderson Jr. of Mount Olive, Christine Jones and husband, Willie Norris of Pikeville, Peggy Jones and husband, George Graham of Snow Hill, and Lynda Taylor Trosino of Pink; 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and three great-great-great-grandchildren (a total of 60 grandchildren).
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara A. Jones and a sister, Lena Rouse Lawrence.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 1912 Sunset Ave., Rocky Mount, with burial at Pineview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening at the funeral home from 7 until 9, and other times at the home of Peggy Graham, 5610 Fort Run Road, Snow Hill.
