RICHARD E. RIPPLE
Richard "Dick" E. Ripple, 75, died Wednesday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with J.B. Price officiating.
Mr. Ripple owned and operated Dick's Mobile Home Service for 25 years before retiring in 1995.
He was a native of Otsego County, New York, and was the son of the late Frank and Una Risedorph Ripple. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jeanne Gross Ripple; two daughters, Michelle Anne Ripple of Durham and Pamela Sue Ripple of Charlotte; two sisters, Frances Prendergast of Alexandria Bay, N.Y., and Robbie Beebe of Springfield Center, N.Y.; two brothers, Wesley Ripple of Cottageville, S.C., and Teddy Ripple of Fort Hunter, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Iris Bartholomew and Beth Harper, and a brother, Warren Ripple.
The family will be receiving friends immediately following the memorial service at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 3015 S. Memorial Dr., Suite A, Greenville, N.C., 27834.
