JAMES BRINSON
James Leonard "Jitter Bug" Brinson, 66, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be held on Friday at 3 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Goldsboro.
Mr. Brinson is survived by his mother, Ida Mae Gunter of Goldsboro; his fiancée, Clara Smith of Goldsboro; five sons, Reginald Brinson and wife, Varnetta, of Wilmington, Stevie Brinson of Virginia, Ralphel Brinson of Virginia, Andre Brinson of Wilmington and Linwood McKinnon of Goldsboro; four daughters, Aquanetta Brinson, Martha Brinson and Maxine Brinson of Washington, D.C., and Shirley Gooding of Goldsboro, and their mother, Marenda Brinson of Washington, D.C.; four brothers, Walter Brunson of Alabama, Fitzgerald Brunson of Goldsboro, Edward Rose Brunson of Florida and Pee Wee Brunson of Florida; one sister, Kaye B. Graham of Princeton; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; special aunts, Aunt Lillie Sykes and Aunt Dorothy Jones; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Leonard D. "Tweet" Brunson, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lavarous McKinnon, and a sister, Joyce Mae B. Banks.
The viewing will be from 12 until 2:30 p.m. on Friday at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends other times at the residence at 1105 Slaughter Street in Goldsboro.
