MOUNT OLIVE -- Linda Outlaw Best, age 62, of 971 Hwy. 55 East, died Thursday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of Emma Sutton Outlaw of Mt. Olive and the late Leslie Outlaw. She was preceded in death by husbands Marion "Mac" McDonald Price and Jimmy Exum Best. She was a child care provider and a former member of the Mount Olive Pickle Kickers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Harrison and Rev. Sherman Dilley officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her loving friend, Gene Bullard of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Kendall Lee of Mount Olive; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Kathy Best of Mount Olive, Michael and Debbie Best of Fayetteville; two sisters, Peggy Barwick and Karen Arnette, both of Mount Olive; one brother and sister-in-law, Lester and Denise Outlaw of Mount Olive; nine grandchildren, Elizabeth Best, Emma Best, Mark Levi, Jennifer Levi, Sarah Best, James Best, Kenny Lee, Brandon Lee and Shelly Lee.
The family will be receiving friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home.
