ROSA ARTIS
Rosa Artis, 88, of Pikeville, died Wednesday.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bear Creek Association Headquarters Building on South Slocumb Street.
Mrs. Artis was the daughter of the late Isiah Webb and Viola Hines Webb and was the widow of Wiley James Artis Sr.
She is survived by four sons, Jesse Artis of Dudley, Arthur Artis of Goldsboro, Albert Artis of Pikeville and Charles Artis of Eureka; eight daughters, Katherine Cox, Dollie Jones, Christine Faison and Linda Artis Jordan of Goldsboro, Alice Worrells of Eureka, Geraldine Sutton of Dudley, Shirley Ann Burton of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Alberta Barnes of Temple Hills, Md.; and 92 grandchildren, 133 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren.
The viewing will be on Saturday from 1 until 4 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home and from 6 until 7 p.m. at Elm Grove Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, Pikeville.
