PEGGY BILL

Peggy Ramsey Bill, 60, of 2920 US Hwy. 70 West, died Thursday afternoon at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Born in Burgaw, she was the daughter of Eugene Ramsey of Burgaw and the late Pearl Bowden Ramsey. She was a member of Rosewood First Baptist Church and a former member of Love Memorial Baptist Church, where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher and drama director and was very active in missions, having traveled to Brazil, Ukraine and Yemen.

Mrs. Bill was the inspiration for the "Soul's Palette," an organization that provides art therapy to patients who are dealing with cancer and other chronic illnesses. In addition to being very involved in the "Soul's Palette," she was president of Larry Bill Promotions.

She is survived by her husband, Larry David Bill; two sons, Larry David Bill Jr. and wife Mandy of Goldsboro and Randy Todd Bill, of the home; her father, Eugene Ramsey, and his wife, Jewel, of Burgaw; a brother, William "Billy" Eugene Ramsey and wife Joy of Wallace; a sister, Joyce Ramsey Lucas and husband John of Burgaw; four grandchildren, Rachael, Logan, Christian and Noah Bill of Goldsboro; a niece, Ann Marie Hanchey of Wallace; and two nephews, Timmy Rivenbark of Burgaw and Richard Rivenbark, who is serving on the mission field.

The funeral will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Rosewood First Baptist Church with the Rev. Vernon Braswell officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Family members will greet friends Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and at other times at the residence.
