VINCENT ANTONEVITCH
MOUNT OLIVE -- Vincent Jonathan "V.J." Antonevitch, 27, of Carrboro, died Friday in Durham Regional Hospital in Durham.
A life-long resident of Orange County, Mr. Antonevitch attended Chapel Hill High School.
Mr. Antonevitch is survived by his mother, Patricia Connor Antonevitch of Carrboro; several aunts and uncles including Douglas P. Connor of Mount Olive, and Judy C. and Bill Smith of Washington; many cousins; and those that were considered his family at the Murdock Center and RSI.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald K. "Sonny" Antonevitch.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Monday at Hillsong Church, Culbreth Road, Chapel Hill. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Maplewood Cemetery, in Mount Olive. Dr. H. Dennis Draper, Jr., minister of the First United Methodist Church of Mount Olive, and Willis Herman, chaplain of the Murdock Center will officiate.
Family and friends will gather at Tyndall Funeral Home on Tuesday one hour prior to the service, and at other times, they will be at the home of Douglas P. Connor, 617 North Church St., in Mount Olive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Arc of Orange County, 1777 North Fordham Blvd., Chapel Hill, N.C., 27514, or to Residential Services, Inc., 111 Providence Road, Chapel Hill, N.C., 27514.
Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive is handling the arrangements.
