VEATRICE BRASWELL
PRINCETON -- Veatrice Tyner Braswell, 93, died Sunday at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted tonight at 7 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton with Dr. Glenn Griffin officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Princeton Cemetery.
Mrs. Braswell was born in Johnston County to the late William Columbus and Ellar P. Tyner. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Chester Braswell, a son, Donald Ray Braswell, and a great-grandson, Matthew Braswell. She worked as clerk at Princeton Post Office for more than 48 years before retiring.
She is survived by one son, Linwood Braswell, and his wife, Gail of Princeton; one daughter, Ann B. Jordan of Princeton; one daughter-in-law, Jean M. Braswell of Princeton; five grandchildren, Terry Braswell, Russell Lynn Jordan, Kent Braswell, Crystal Braswell and Heather Braswell; and three great-granddaughters, Ashley Braswell, Carson Braswell and Kaeli Braswell.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service tonight.
