MATTIE R. HILL
WILSON -- Mattie Reid Hill, 84, of 1207 Meadow St., died Wednesday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at St.. James Christian Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, 1739 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway.
Mrs. Hill was the widow of Rev. Havord Lee Hill Sr. She was a member of Turner Swamp Primitive Baptist Church in Eureka.
She is survived by four daughters, Evelyn Williams of Princeton, Rachel H. Woodard of Silver Springs, Md., Mattie Hill Brown of Wilson and Dian Hill of the home; one son, David Hill of Wilson; one sister, Anne Adams of Baltimore, Md.; and 31 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
The viewing hours will be from 1 until 4:30 on Saturday afternoon at Carrons Funeral Home in Wilson.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Mt. Zion Progressive Primitive Baptist Church. At other times friends may call at the residence at 1207 Meadow St., and the family will assemble there one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
