LEONARD SALAMONE

Leonard "Lenny" Salamone, 62, of 3530 Hugo Road, died Tuesday at his home in Grifton.

The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lewis Baker and the Rev. Rick Mondell officiating. Burial will follow in the Princeton Cemetery.

He was a native of Buffalo, N.Y., was the son of the late Stephen and Mary Leona Pittman Salamone, and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Fields Salamone of the home; his children, Stephen Salamone of Tampa, Kan., Dominic Salamone of Duval, Fla., Christina Salamone of Goldsboro, Danielle Salamone of Bluefield, W.Va., Patricia Simmons of Lake City, Fla., and Toni Rainey of MacClenny, Fla.; his step-children, Michael Beck of Winston-Salem, Brian Beck of Memphis, Tenn., Michael Anderson of Grifton and Alice Mondell of Goldsboro; and his grandchildren, Andres Manuel Ruiz, Cheyenne Nicole Ruiz, Willow Jule Simmons, Aaron Michael Beck, Michael Austin Hogan, Brantlee Austin Gage Rainey, Christian Lamar Gowin, Gavin Chase Rainey, Westley Minnie, Timmie Minnie, Alicia Nicole Bradford, Sarah Michelle Bradford, Ryan Lee Wallace, Justin Lakoda Davis, Aurora Salamone, Nicholas Salamone, Amanda Salamone, Athena Salamone, and Ashley Lewis.

The family will receive friends Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
