DR. FRANK W. PISANI
LAGRANGE -- The Reverend Dr. Frank Warren Pisani, 83, of 302 West Washington St., died Tuesday at SunBridge Rehabilitation Center.
Dr. Pisani was born in San Francisco to the late Jack and Zillah Pisani. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and then served as a 1st Lieutenant during World War II in Patton's Third Army. Following his military service, he attended Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Va. After graduation, he was rector at The Church Of The Holy Comforter in Tallahassee, Fla. Later, he served as the associate dean at Virginia Theological Seminary and then as president of St. Mary's College in Raleigh. Following his service at St. Mary's, he served on the staff at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco. He was rector at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Surfside Beach, S.C. After his retirement to LaGrange, he served as rector of Holy Innocents Episcopal Church for 10 years.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from Holy Innocents Episcopal Church with The Rt. Rev. Clifton Daniel III, The Rev. Tommy Tipton, and The Rev. Edward Kelaher officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Innocents Episcopal Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sara Frances Walters Pisani; two daughters, Caroline Pisani Bell and husband, Thomas, of Goldsboro, and Sara Alice Pisani of Tampa, Fla.; son, John Franklin Pisani of Tampa, Fla.; brother, Richard Pisani of San Rafael, Calif.; and granddaughter, Sara Elizabeth Bell.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at the Pisani home, 302 West Washington St., LaGrange.
