LIBBY YELVERTON
GREENVILLE -- Georgia Elizabeth "Libby" Davis Yelverton, 60, died at home on Wednesday.
A service honoring and celebrating her life will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Red Oak Christian Church. Burial will be in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Formerly of Johnston County, she received a degree in home economics from East Carolina University and taught at Farmville High School for a brief time. She had been a district manager for Avon since 1973. She was an active member of Red Oak Christian Church, where she sang in the choir.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Charles Michael "Mike" Yelverton; one son, Scott Michael Yelverton of Greenville; two daughters, Paula Yelverton Main and husband Greg of Winterville and Sarah Yelverton Pittman and husband Cameron of Greenville; one grandson, Jadon Gregory Main of Winterville; her father, Irwin Hughes Davis of Bentonville; one brother, Charles Davis and wife Kay of Mixon Creek; and numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Elizabeth Beasley Davis.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
