ROBERT W. WATERS
PIKEVILLE -- Robert Wilson Waters, 75, died Sunday at Sunbridge Nursing Home in Mount Olive.
The funeral will be held by the graveside on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Pikeville Cemetery. The Rev. Barry Stallings will officiate.
Mr. Waters was a native of Wayne County and was retired from Hardwood Dimensions in Fremont.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Arthur and Mabel Gray Waters, and is survived by one sister, Doris Waters Gay, and her husband, Bob, of Belfast; one brother-in-law, Loomis Avery of Cabot, Ark.; nieces, Janice Gay Bedford and husband, Phil; Linda Gay Pate and husband, Bill, and their daughter Lindsay; Donna Gay Potter and husband, Elliott, and their son Jake; Linda Gail McConnaghy; and Teresa Young; one nephew, Tony Carmello; great nephew, Robert Gay, III; several other nieces, great nieces and great nephews.
Mr. Waters was preceded in death in addition to his parents by a brother, Buddy Waters, sisters, Dorothy Avery and Helen Peterson, and his step-father, Jack Pike.
The family will receive friends at the home of Doris and Bob Gay, 107 Braxton Drive in the Belfast community.
