JOHN DELANO
The funeral for John Franklin DeLano, 70, of 317 Saulston Road, will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Bishop Rex Howard will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. DeLano died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Loudon, N.H., he was the son of the late George and Letitia Morrill Delano. He was a security guard with Case Farms and was retired from the United States Air Force.
Mr. Delano is survived by his wife, Joyce Bean Delano; one daughter, JoAnn Delano of Goldsboro; one son, Jonathan Delano of Goldsboro; two brothers, Charles Delano and George Delano, both of Florida; one sister, Patricia Smith of Florida; two grandchildren, Corinthus Delano and Emani McDuffie; and one great-grandchild, Nyjhan Ulmer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roland Delano.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
