ED JOHNSON
Grover Edward "Ed" Johnson, 70, of 891 Mark Edwards Road, LaGrange, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Friday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Rev. Jimmy Bryant will officiate. Private graveside services will be held at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Johnson was born in Johnston County to the late Joseph G. and Ora Garner Johnson. He was self-employed in the mobile home moving industry and had worked with New Hope Gas Co.
He is survived by his wife, Eula Johnson; one son, Glenn Edward Johnson of Goldsboro; one daughter, Sandra Hollingsworth of LaGrange; two stepsons, Donnie Worrell and Jarvis Worrell of Goldsboro; two stepdaughters, Felicia Coker and Wanda Kay Sutton of LaGrange; four sisters, Ann Trexler of Dudley and Leora Bizzell, Jean Bryant and Betty Rhodes of Goldsboro; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Margie Lee Kornegay.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service on Friday night, and at other times at the residence.
