ALBERT DARDEN
FAISON -- The funeral for Albert Darden, 63, of 60 Grace D. King Lane, will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Goshen Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, with Dr. David Atkinson officiating. Burial will be in King-Daughtry Cemetery.
Mr. Darden died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.
He was the son of the late Willie and Martha Lewis Darden and was a U.S. Army veteran. He retired as plant supervisor at Kemp Furniture Company.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Lorraine Darden of the home; three daughters, Angela Ward and Marlene Faison of Turkey and Lonice Darden of Goldsboro; one brother, Willie Richard Darden of Fayetteville; three sisters, Helen Williams and Bertha Darden of Dudley and Martha Denise King of Newton Grove; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The viewing hours will be from 3 until 6 p.m. on Friday at Garris Funeral Home in Mount Olive, and from 7 until 8 p.m. at the House of Prayer on Sleepy Creek Road, Dudley. The family will be present at the church to receive friends.
