MOUNT OLIVE -- William Gary Sills Sr., 61, of 304 Hopewell Lane, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.. at Emmaus Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Ronnie Massey will officiate.
Mr. Sills was born in Wayne County to the late William Henry "Bill" and Lorraine Fields Sills and was married to Linda Williams Sills. He attended Church of God of Prophecy in Grantham and worked as a maintenance and security manager of Ramada Inn. He was a member of the Golden Leaf Pigeon Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, William Gary Sills Jr. of Mount Olive; two daughters, Sissy Sills Condon of LaGrange and Lois Ann Sills Mahoney of Spartanburg, S.C.; four sisters, Jean Franklin of Charleston, S.C., Karen Hammon and Sherry Davinport of Jacksonville, Fla., and Brenda Kay Johnson of North Carolina; and 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the residence.
