KENLY -- The funeral for Janyce Bass Hinnant, 72, will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Kenly United Methodist Church. The Rev. Mike Legurg will officiate. Burial will be in Dixon Cemetery.
Mrs. Hinnant died Tuesday at her home.
She was the daughter of the late S.G. Bass and Lillian Dixon Bass. She graduated from Kenly High School and East Carolina University and taught school for 32 years.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Harold Hinnant; a daughter, Marian Jeanette Hinnant; a son, George Alan Hinnant; two sisters, Sally Purvis and Faye Hall; and two grandsons.
The family will receive friends at the residence at 200 E. Pope Ave., Kenly.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kenly United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 1355 Richardson Bass Road, Kenly, 27542; or to The Gynecologic Cancer Program at Duke, DUMC 3828, Durham, N.C., 27710.
