JOSEPH SURRATT JR.
Joseph Caldwell Surratt Jr., 76, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Rev. Homer Morris and the Rev. Bob Bame officiating. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium.
Mr. Surratt was born in Fitzgerald, Ga., and raised in Warsaw. He was the son of the late Joseph C. Surratt Sr. and Inez Bradley Surratt. He moved to Goldsboro in 1953 and was vice president of T.A. Loving until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and the Golden "K" Kiwanis of Goldsboro.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Norman Surratt; one daughter, Pamela Gleason; two sons, Joseph C. "Joey" Surratt III and wife, Carla Cox Surratt, and Gregory P. Surratt; and his grandchildren, Joseph Surratt, Jeremy Surratt, Juliana Surratt and Jackie Patrick.
The family will receive friends at the church following the memorial service, and other times at the residence, 1301 S. Harding Drive, Apt. 404, Goldsboro.
