WILLIAM DAWSON
William Odell Dawson died Wednesday in Torrance, California.
Formerly of Goldsboro, Mr. Dawson was the son of the late Lonnie Dawson Sr. and Essie Dawson Kelly and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. After graduating from Dillard High School in 1956, he moved to Los Angeles, Calif.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dollie Dawson; three daughters, Yolanda Jones of Raleigh and Theresa Dawson and Veronica Dawson of Carson, Calif.; one son, William Dawson Jr. of Long Beach, Calif.; one brother, the Rev. Dr. Lonnie Dawson of Compton, Calif.; one sister, Mary Gunther of Godlsboro; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at New Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, Calif.
