EDWARD LINDSAY SR.
Edward Lindsay Sr., 54, died Saturday.
The funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Salvation Baptist Church, 1961 N. Culpepper St., Arlington, Va.
Mr. Lindsay was born in Washington, D.C., and was the son of Gladys Jones and the late James Edward Lindsay. He graduated from Washington-Lee High School in 1968 and was employed with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority for 27 years, retiring in 2001. He married Arlene Coletti-Avery in 1998 and they made their home in Goldsboro.
In additon to his mother and his wife, Mr. Lindsay is survived by three sons, Edward Lindsay Jr., Vincent Lindsay and Keith Elliot Avery; six sisters, Marilyn Scales, Darlene Flood, Denise Rice, Tina Jones, Kristy Ray and Deana Lindsay; three brothers, Lloyd Flood, Randolph Flood and Dennis Jones; his stepmother, Joyce Lindsay; and two grandchildren.
The viewing hours will be from 9:30 until 11 at the church, prior to the service on Friday.
