EDNA L. MOORING
STANTONSBURG -- Edna Louise Mooring, 80, died Saturday at Avante at Wilson.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas-Yelverton at Evergreen. The Rev. A.G. Smith, Rev. Bobbie Dunn and Bishop Robert Scott will officiate. Burial will be in Stantonsburg Cemetery.
Mrs. Mooring was a native of Pitt County and was the daughter of the late Leslie and Esther Mooring.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Ronnie Moye of Stantonsburg; sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Margaret Mooring of Black Creek, Linwood Felton and Rosemary Mooring of Eureka, Joseph W. and Wanda Mooring of Wilson and Mike and Sherrie Mooring of Eureka; brothers, Carl Moye of Stantonsburg, Ray Moye of Wilson, Rollin Moye of Burlington; sisters, Kathleen Rowe of Stantonsburg, Carrie Carraway of Goldsboro, Peggy Flowers of Four Oaks and Lucille Batten of Goldsboro; and 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 8:30 at Thomas-Yelverton in Wilson, and other times at the home of Patricia and Ronnie Moye, 8360 Hwy. 58 North, Stantonsburg.
